Polite, I was also v.impressed with Cullen at Charlton. Some of the youngsters may have jumped too soon with Bilic now in. Lletget would have been given every chance to impress with Super Slav.

There is some of that but it helps that they are getting more competitive games against weaker opposition than Forest as well.

Amazing how we have gone from fans slagging off our academy to now thinking we have a number that could come through.
The difference?
They have been given a proper chance. Not all thrown in together and made to look out of their depth like at Nottingham Forest, but blooded one or two at a time, with better more experienced players around them.
Shame it has come too late for a couple that we have released that were plenty good enough to have been treated the same, but better late than never.

Re: DEEC Oxford Seem to remember a 17 year old Rio getting a few games in midfield before he was established at CB.
I also remembered a certain Mr Bilic being in the same team as well...

I was very impressed with Oxford. Very nice having height in the central midfield. Battled very well as midfielder and in the set up we had going where the midfield three basic rotate between themselves, he made some good runs forward.
After the sending off, the back four of Anglo still coming to grips, Burke playing right back and being young, Cresswell who was getting both pummelled and wound up along with him struggled but that is a tough situation.
People who say Noble is a water carrier did not watch him during the game, he was an integral part of a very nicely played 60 minutes and integral to the success people like Payet and Zarate had.
After the sending off, he was playing in a midfield two because rightly or wrongly, the manager thought a two goal lead was not enough. And ahead of that back four he struggled as did most of the team.

Boo hoo, I seem to remember Payet giving the ball away more cheaply than Noble on more occasions, Payet was also slow, Payet also took some terrible corners, but u don't mention him?
IMO all 3 played well, great to see what Noble can do without Nolan in the team, Oxford shielded the back 4 well and Payet will be some player for us.
Although I could take your approach and just moan like a whiny bitch.

I said to a mate after about 5 mins last night that the transformation in him from the first european game where he looked nervy (understandably so) was incredible.
He just looks born for the big time and at 16, I'm loving him getting game time to keep him happy at the club.

Kante has already gone to Leicester I believe. So much for Sullivan's working 24 hours a day to bring in players. Tinkerman gets on the blower, flicks his fingers, and one of our targets disappears in a puff of smoke.

Don't really care what you think of my opinion to be honest, everyone is entitled to their own so no need to get precious and defensive about it.
Let me guess cause they're both "West Ham" i'm not allowed to say anything but how amazing they are.

Far too young to feature regularly in the Prem, and Collins, Reid, Tomkins, Ogbonna, Henry and Burke will all be ahead of him in the pecking order.
But, he looks fantastic and will get on the bench, and hopefully get a few minutes under his belt.
Providing we hold on to him, he could be first choice by the time he's 21.

Noble is a water carrier. No place for him in the team if we are to progress.
Sad but true.

That occurred to me as well about Nolan being on the bench last night.
To be fair though, you'd have to be some sort of cunt to think Nolan is worth a place on the pitch.

Interesting that a 16 year old kid convert from Centre Back is now preferred in midfield to both Poyet and Nolan.
Nolan being 50K a week club captain Kevin Nolan.
Tells you everything you need to know about the rating the manager is developing for the contribution left to be made by Kevin Nolan.

I thought Noble was quality tonight, played some fantastic balls and made some decent tackles. Reece Oxford was good as well. I now know to ignore your views on players in the future, thanks for this post.
